**About the role**:

- As our Procurement Specialist at Ventia you will be responsible for supporting our Supplier Relationship Manager in establishing and managing strategic relationships with suppliers. You will focus on enhancing our supplier agreements, optimising procurement processes through transformation and ensuring that supplier activities align with our organisational and operational strategic objectives.- You will be an exceptional communicator with a well-developed analytical skill focused on fostering collaborative relationships across the business internally and with our external stakeholders.

Flexible on office location with options to base from any of our Australian state head offices. Preference for Sydney or Melbourne however open for the right applicant. Hybrid working enviornment splitting your time in the office and work from home.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential new suppliers to diversify our supply base and participate in meetings with business units to gather insights on supplier capability to align with future strategies.
- Support the management and review of contracts, ensuring compliance.
- Assist in negotiations for contracts, conduct supplier performance assessments, and maintain accurate records of evaluations and engagement activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and support facilitation of training and transformation.
- Stay informed of industry trends, best practice, and conduct research to identify potential cost savings opportunities within procurement processes. Assist in reporting, risk and opportunity identification, and other supplier engagement activities.**About you**:

- Degree qualified within a relevant discipline, business, supply chain, commercial or similar.
- Demonstrated experience working in a strategic procurement supply chain function within a complex environment.
- Analytical individual with well-developed problem-solving skills able to identify improvements.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal able to partner with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent business acumen, results driven and proactive approach to relationship management. Proficient in supply chain procurement software and tools including the Microsoft Office Suite, exposure to Ariba would be an advantage but not essential.**About Ventia**:
