New Machine Builds Team Leader

**About the role**

We are looking for two additional leading hand plant mechanics to join the New Machines workshop at Tomago due to the continued growth of our team.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will be accountable for leading a team of technicians in meeting demand for the assembly and fit out of new CAT machines.

Roster: Monday - Friday 5D2OX2 5N2OX2 Shifts are 10.5 hours in length.

The hourly rate for this role begins at $54+ with a minimum annual figure of $140K + super.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Coordination of a large team of technicians (auto electricians, plant mechanics, and trade assistants)
- Ensuring efficient assembly of new CAT machines to CAT standards
- Fitting out of machines to customer specifications
- Ensuring that work orders are completed on time and to a high standard
- Self-awareness of your own and your team's safety

**Skills & Experience**
- CERT III Heavy Vehicle / Mobile Plant Qualification - preferred
- CAT specific knowledge (desirable)
- Leadership experience with the ability to build a cohesive team with a common goal
- Capability to delegate tasks and organise teams
- Experience working on a mine site around large machinery or in a heavy plant workshop
- Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to maintaining safe work practices and the environment
