Concreters and Fixers

We currently require multiple Concreters and Fixers to join a Civil Contractor team based in Moomba. This opportunity has an immediate start, FIFO, working a 19-day ON / 9 days OFF roster, ongoing ex. Adelaide.

The purpose of the role will involve a variety of tasks, including placing, finishing, protecting and repairing concrete for civil construction projects. To safely operate, provide support to the requirements of the work team and adhere to the operating requirements.

**Main Duties Include**:

- General labouring duties
- Understand and read drawings and specifications to undertake a task
- Cut joints and grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking
- Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel, long-handled bull float or powered float
- Operate a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification
- Monitor the wind, heat and cold as it affects the curing of concrete
- Prepare and set formwork to the required levels

**Desired Skills**
- Basic knowledge of concreting
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current Drivers Licence
- Ability to work independently
- Perform practical and heavy manual labour
- Skilled Civil Construction Worker
- Min 2 years' Experience
