St Josephs College Coomera is a Brisbane Catholic Education master planned co-educational College that opened in January 2019. Our first Seniors will graduate in 2024. The College is located in Coomera on the Northern Gold Coast, 40 minutes south of the Brisbane CBD.

The Primary Leader of Learning and Engagement is responsible for supporting high levels of engagement, learning progress and achievement of each student and enhances teacher capacity and effectiveness by role modelling high-quality teaching and learning, mentoring and coaching, professional learning, collaboration and cooperation in all domains of schooling. The Primary Leader of Learning and Engagement has a pivotal role in supporting teachers and building collaborative relationships, working as part of a team to deliver improved educational outcomes for students consistent with the Brisbane Catholic Education Learning and Teaching Framework, Model of Pedagogy and key system strategies.

The position contributes to major initiatives of the school and with progressing the priorities of the School Strategic Renewal Plan. The Primary Leader of Learning and Engagement is responsible for the support of a phase of learning in the Primary and works as a middle leader between the classroom teacher and the Assistant Principal. They support administration, implementation of the Explicit Improvement Agenda and PB4L framework across the phase of learning, providing a layer of support beneath the Assistant Principal. Provide professional support in the use of data to track and monitor student behaviours at an individual, cohort and whole school level, working with teachers to make modifications to improve student outcomes, and plan for further learning.

Provide pastoral support for students at a layer between the classroom teacher and Assistant Principal. Responding to the needs of staff and students and offering coaching and mentoring when needed to build teacher capacity. Supporting a phase of learning with organisational and administrative responsibilities and accountabilities. Enhance teacher effectiveness and capacity to improve educational outcomes for students through demonstrating and promoting; PB4L processes and procedures and effective behaviour management strategies. Supporting the pastoral and well-being needs of students.

To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
