SF People is currently recruiting for a dedicated and values driven community-based organisation based in Brisbane. Our client delivers disability support services and allied health services throughout the Brisbane region.

We are currently recruiting for a payroll specialist for the role of
**Payroll Officer** to assist the organisation’s finance team.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
This role will report directly to the Senior Finance Officer and will work closely with management to ensure that all payroll activities are running smoothly and are meeting the organisational requirements. You will be expected to work quite autonomously within a team environment.
- Proven experience working in a Payroll Officer or similar role within an internal payroll, accounting or finance team and experienced in payroll management, paying wages, interpreting Awards, monthly reporting, working within an accounting software program as well as any other general payroll/accounting/finance or administrative duties;
- Excellent administration and written communication skills, with high attention to detail;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to seek understanding, and to problem solve;
- Strong organisational, time management and time critical skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines and deliverables;
- Proactive approach with the willingness to work autonomously as well as part of a team as required;
- The ability to work in line with relevant legislation and procedural guidelines;
- Experience working within and/or exposure or insight to the community services, care services, disability services, or similar sectors would be advantageous.
- Experience working with the SCHADS Award is highly desirable.

**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**:

- This is a permanent full time role to be based at the organisation’s head office in the inner northern suburbs, Brisbane QLD.
- Hybrid work arrangements - ie. a mix of work from office and work from home - will be considered, please inquire.
