Employment Coach- Disability Employment Services

As a Disability Employment Services (DES) Coach, you will actively engage with participants to identify the skills and potential barriers to employment of each individual, and work with them to achieve their tailored employment goals. SYC delivers employment services at over 50 locations throughout Australia, and you’ll be based in** Glenelg**, and you will be required to travel for the role.
In this role, you’ll be part of a supportive and result driven team who are dedicated to our vision of wellbeing, independence and opportunity for DES job seekers. Day to day activities will include:
- Market participants to employers to achieve sustainable employment outcomes
- Ensure timely referral to employment opportunities, vocational training, employment activities and non-vocational programs
- Develop and maintain professional knowledge of and provide advice on areas including but not necessarily limited to the Disability Employment Services Contract, the local labour market and local support services.
- Provide thorough Post Placement Support to employers and participants
**About You**
- Excellent communication skills with well-developed verbal, and written skills, and the ability to prepare and conduct effective presentations.
- Self-motivation and initiative, with well-developed organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and attend to multiple tasks and priorities.
- Interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills along with the ability to identify innovative and lateral solutions to problems
- Previous experience in Disability Employment Services Industry is desirable
- Strong customer service experience
**For this role, you will need to**:
- Be willing to complete a Working with Children Check and National Police Check
- Have a current and valid driver's licence and your own registered vehicle with a 4 or 5 star ANCAP safety rating
- Be eligible to work in Australia
