**The Client**
Our client is a unique government agency which works closely with a range of national and international partners to create connections and gather information that will assue Australia's safety from serious threats. They deliver information-sharing solutions at state, territory and federal levels to ensure that essential information is available to all law enforcement agencies across Australia.

**The Role**
Our client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Data Analyst to support a number of current and upcoming ICT projects.

The principal accountabilities and responsibilities of the Data Analyst include:

- Provide analytical support and reporting on data quality assessment across relevant systems.
- Engage with stakeholders and consult with the Principal Advisor, Director, Project Managers, Technical Team Leads, Project teams
- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Assist in the development and analysis of database queries, data collection systems, analytics, reporting mechanisms and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Negotiate and acquire data from primary or secondary data sources (including external partners) and maintain databases / data systems.
- Provide data specific design advice to projects
- Develop project related documentation as required.

**About You**
- Demonstrated experience in:

- Development and analysis of database queries
- Data collection systems
- Data analytics
- Reporting mechanisms and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Provides qualitative and quantitative analytical support and reporting on data assessment.
- Strong demonstrated experience in interpreting data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Experience providing data specific design advice to projects with the ability to negotiate and acquire data from primary/secondary data sources
- Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications including
- Business cases
- Project documents and reports to key stakeholders in a Government context
- Ability to quickly build trust and effectively manage the expectations of stakeholders and team members.
