**The Opportunity**

You will be accountable in:

- Reporting to Data Quality Metadata Manager to lead the development and implementation of a data management capability.
- Establishing a metadata management capability that includes data lineage tracking, data catalogues, business glossaries and a central repository for defining Critical Data Elements.
- Act as an Advisor for Data Governance processes, frameworks, standards, and architectures.
- Analyse current business practices, processes, and procedures as well as identifying future business opportunities.
- Review, perform, and document data lineage analysis of source to target system data streams.
- Able to define and document data lineage current state utilising appropriate tools to create data flow diagrams, context level diagrams, etc.
- Identify gaps and issues and propose remediation solutions.
- Make recommendations in relation to strengthening data lineage methods, processes, and procedures.

**About You**

To be considered for this role you will ideally have:

- Relevant Tertiary qualifications with a data-related discipline
- Oracle database, SQL Server database and SQL knowledge and experience of at least 5 years
- Metadata Management experience of at least 5 years
- Experience in data governance, data catalogues, data quality management and metadata management.
- Experience in using Metadata Management platforms (e.g., Alation, Ataccama, Collibra, Informatica).
- Experience with MDM algorithms (matching, merging, unification, etc.)
- Knowledge of any of the other Cloud Data and AI Platform, preferably Azure.
- Knowledge and experience working in Databricks.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as healthcare and insurance is not essential, but will be well regarded.
