You build a dynamic, accurate and engaging weather-focused news bulletin in a live setting. You determine the placement and structure of news stories and successfully execute your vision in collaboration with team. You also think of story ideas that will improve our storytelling. You will shape the direction of the channel as we look to evolve the way we deliver the weather to Australians.

**What’s the role?**
- Create content in collaboration with our channel manager, meteorologists and weather presenters to deliver a dedicated national live weather bulletin
- Execute extreme weather and natural disaster coverage in a live breaking news format
- Identify, write and edit weather stories of interest to a national audience
- Chase weather-related interviews that add depth and ‘human’ stories to our coverage
- Lead unique story development discussions to help forge a new identity for the channel
- Outputting live shows from the control room including communication with crew, hosts, reporters and guests

**Who you are**
- 5+ years’ experience as a news producer with an eye for compelling television
- Experience in a live television news setting
- Work in a team to deliver daily content to a tight deadline
- Shape and execute a live news bulletin based on the stories of the day
- Experience with Quantel & ENPS desirable
- Excellent organisation and interpersonal communication skills
- Calm under pressure
- Outstanding editorial judgement
