Floor Supervisor

Norma, an exciting and rapidly evolving French Mediterranean restaurant in the heart of Fitzroy, is seeking a motivated and experienced **Floor Supervisor** to help lead and elevate our front-of-house operations. As we continue to grow and refine our dining experience, we are looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, has a keen eye for detail, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service and a high standard of customer care.
- Lead, motivate, and train the service team to provide exceptional dining experiences with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Manage floor staff during service, ensuring efficient table turnover, clear communication, and a seamless guest experience.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely, high-quality service and the smooth coordination of orders.
- Assist in managing reservations, guest inquiries, and special requests, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience for all patrons.
- Maintain a polished and professional atmosphere, ensuring the restaurant is always presented to a high standard.
- Handle guest feedback, resolve any concerns or issues promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Contribute to the training and development of junior staff, helping to foster a positive team culture.
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operational tasks, including inventory management, stock control, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a high-end restaurant, ideally with French dining.
- Strong knowledge of wine, beverages, and the ability to make recommendations to guests and on the menu
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for hospitality, with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- The ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and maintain a calm demeanor during busy service periods.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Experience with reservations systems and POS software is preferred (lightspeed)
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively with both front and back-of-house teams.

Pay: $50,758.08 - $82,010.96 per year
