Compass Connect Support Services is urgently seeking a qualified and compassionate Support Worker to support a young NDIS participant living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 3), Intellectual Disability, ADHD, and Language Impairment. This is a fixed and consistent role focusing on structured, routine-based support that includes transport assistance, community access, and developmental life skills.
**About the Role**
- Provide safe and punctual **transport support** (8:30 AM pick-up and 3:00 PM return)
- Facilitate **clear, simple communication** to support understanding
- Help manage **routine-based transitions** and emotional regulation
- Supervise basic tasks like preparing snacks and using kitchen items
- Occasionally support additional community or personal development activities as part of the NDIS plan
**Participant Profile**
- Male, 18 years old, NDIS participant
- Diagnosed with Autism (Level 3), Intellectual Disability, ADHD, and Language Impairment
- Semi-verbal: communicates best with short, repeated instructions
- Independent with mobility but requires supervision for safety-related tasks and tool use
**Mandatory Requirements (or willingness to obtain)**:
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (HLTAID011 or equivalent)
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
- Own vehicle with full comprehensive insurance
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (minimum of two doses)
**Highly Regarded**:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or Community Services
- Prior experience with Autism, language challenges, or complex behaviours
- Understanding of trauma-informed or person-centred practices
