**What You Will Be Doing**
The MH/AOD Consumer Consultant role brings both a personal lived experience of co-occurring AOD and mental health concerns and expertise in system navigation, advocacy and approaches to supporting consumer voices and participation in system change/reform/transformation.

The MH/AOD Consumer Consultant works within the Lived Experience Leadership Team to provide leadership, support, representation and advocacy.

The MH/AOD Consumer Consultant will work with the Lived Experience Leadership Team alongside MH Consultants (Consumer and Carer) to articulate and advocate for the perspectives of people with co-occurring MH/AOD concerns in all aspects of service design, delivery and governance is a designated Lived Experience position, working to represent a broad spectrum of consumer perspectives and experiences.

**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have:

- Must have a Lived Experience of co-occurring MH/AOD challenges
- Must be willing to declare and work from a Lived Experience as a Consumer of Mental

Health/AOD/Dual Diagnosis services
- Previous experience in a designated LE role - Peer Worker/Senior Peer Worker, Advisor,

Consultant OR in advocacy, representation or systems change roles in related fields
- Demonstrated knowledge of MH/AOD consumer/carer movements and evolving positions

on design and delivery of treatment, care, support services
- Demonstrated commitment to community consultation and representation of full range of

perspectives/positions
