**The requirements | What it takes to do this work**

No matter your role, it takes a real love of caring, a willingness to jump in and do the work, and a genuine desire to make a difference. As a carer, you’ll also need:

- A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or Cert IV Leisure and Health
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current NSW class C driver’s license with the willingness to drive a 12-seater van
- An empathy for older people and commitment to meeting their needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill
