About the Role
As an S&S Banking Consultant, you are to assess the financial needs of customers and provide options to meet those needs in pursuit of specific sales, service and connected customer targets including addressing customers’ transactional banking needs.
**Role Location**: Shop 33 Brookside Shopping Centre, 159 Osborne Rd, Mitchelton QLD 4053
**Role Type**: Flexible Part Time (20 hours), Permanent
What will your day look like?
**As a S&S Banking Consultant, you will**:
Achieve sales, service and compliance targets.
Generate opportunities for sales specialists for Stores, using the agreed sales process.
Provide recommendations to the Store Manager or Store Leader for initiatives to improve sales performance of the store.
Assess customer needs through open and targeted communication with customers and recommend appropriate options using the agreed sales process.
Provide accurate and timely service by processing over-the-counter transactions (deposits, withdrawals and transfers, in an efficient and accurate manner.
Actively promote and support customers in the use of alternative electronic distribution methods for conducting day to day banking (e.g. ATM, Phone Banking, Internet).
Proactive identification and escalation of risks and issues related to your role responsibilities& captured as a service request in Ignite. Adherence to Suncorp’s complaint resolution process to resolve the matter, maintain our high service standards and mitigate further risks / losses.
Ensure a safe environment that allows all staff across Suncorp the ability to escalate anddiscuss issues and risks with their Leader or LOR.
Accountable for maintaining high data quality standards by ensuring information captured in Suncorp’s systems and documentation are correct and maintained in a timely manner.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Must have ability to work across the hours of 830 to 430 Monday to Thursday and 9 to 515 on Fridays.
Min 4hours per day across 5 days
First 3 months will require some weeks where additional hours and or fulltime hours are required for training
Tertiary Qualifications in business, commercial or finance are desirable.
Demonstrated experience in a retail customer sales & service environment
Attention to detail - accurately checking and processing tasks and showing concern for all aspects of the role.
Commercial Acumen - ability to recognise and implement business strategies to driveprofitable growth, customer acquisition, customer experience and sales productivity.
Communication Skills - ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written.
Decisiveness - ability to make effective decisions in a timelymanner.
Negotiation skills - exploring opportunities with a view to mutual benefit and acceptance.
Problem solving - ability to seek out information and break down problems and situations into simple lists of components, options or alternatives.
Rapport Building - use interpersonal style to establish and develop relationships.
Social skills - using appropriate behavioural styles to develop relationships and influence others
