Beresford Hall is an 81 place, Extra Service residential aged care facility located on New South Head Road in Rose Bay.

Drayton House is an extension to the existing Beresford Hall residential aged care facility, situated on the opposite side of Cranbrook Road and has 65 places. Drayton House is built and furnished to the same high standard and has the look and feel of Beresford Hall. Drayton House operates under the Beresford Hall Residential Age Care Service.

**About the position**

The Roster Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a cost-effective roster that meets the needs of residents and staff.

The Roster Coordinator will be the key contact for our home care regarding shift changes, processing annual leave and working closely with our Facility Manager. Main duties of the role include, but are not limited to the following;
- Formulation and maintenance of the fortnightly roster for all care staff. Liaise with the Head Chef, Diversional Therapist and Housekeeper to incorporate their staffing requirements into the main roster.
- Management of staff replacements and liaise with Department Managers for changes in staff.
- Manage staff rostering requests and annual leave.
- In conjunction with the Facility Manager, undertake reference checks, Police Checks, Visa Status and organise buddy shifts for new staff.
- Manage TimeCare and RosterCare systems.
- Review TimeCare on a daily basis for inconsistencies in staff scanning in and out and report to Facility Manager.
- Process RostCare and TimeCare with external payroll provider and follow up any anomalies.
- Check payroll reports and follow up any pay queries.
- Maintain secure personnel files for all staff.
- In conjunction with the Facility Manager and Department Heads, maintain calendar for new staff appraisals and yearly appraisals.
- Maintain a record management system including, filing, storage, archiving and disposal of records related to staffing and payroll.
- Maintain records for Police Checks and Visa Status.
- Contact person for injured worker.
- Notification and liaison with insurers.
- Liaise with Workcover Rehabilitation Provider.
- Participate in return-to-work program in conjunction with the Rehabilitation Provider.
- Coordinate the on-line E Learning programme ensuring all staff participate and manage record keeping. Liaise with the Facility Manager in respect to non-compliance.
- Schedule Manual Handling and Fire Safety Training days.
- Conduct orientation with new staff members and agency staff.
- Maintaining files and record management system in line with quality standards regarding shifts.
- Any other quality and compliance tasks as requested by management on shifts.
- Be available as a support person for staff with personal and or professional issues.

**Essential criteria**
- Demonstrated experience and/or qualifications in customer service, scheduling/rostering, data analytics or call centre.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role with a high level of attention to detail.
- You’re a natural problem solver and have outstanding communication and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated experience in a general administration role, including operation of databases and excel spreadsheets.
- Experience with scheduling of rosters or demonstrable transferable skills.
- Proven organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines and budgets.
- Thorough attention to detail and ability to anticipate and solve rostering problems efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent written and oral skills and presentation capabilities.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; flexible, and the ability to relate well to all stakeholders with which Beresford Hall interacts.
- Proficient computer skills.

**Desirable criteria**
- Experience in aged care
- Experience in human resource management

**Salary**: $27.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

All staff are wearing N95 masks and must 2 doses + booster dose of covid vaccination
