We're seeking a Technical Lead to shape the future of legal and accounting technology, mentor our engineering team, and build the tools that power the next generation of Australian businesses.

About the Role ✨

As Technical Lead, you'll be a **hands-on engineering leader driving quality, scale, and performance** across our SaaS platform. You'll lead a cross-functional product team through key initiatives that deliver customer value efficiently. **Working closely with product, design, and digital transformation teams**, you'll translate business vision into elegant, scalable systems that enable entrepreneurial success.

Key Responsibilities
- **Lead the design, development and delivery of full-stack features** (React, NextJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, AWS)
- **Champion engineering quality** through clean code, peer reviews and robust testing
- **Mentor and coach engineers**, supporting their technical and professional growth
- **Guide architectural decisions**, manage technical debt, and ensure system reliability and scalability
- **Collaborate with product managers** and designers to deliver user-centric features
- **Own technical delivery** from sprint planning through post-release analysis
- **Contribute to engineering strategy**and cross-functional technical initiatives

Required Experience ‍️
- ** Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as Tech Lead or Senior Engineer** in high-performing, agile teams
- Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, NodeJS, GraphQL
- **Strong architectural thinking**with experience designing scalable systems and APIs
- **Experience with AWS, serverless architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code** (CDK/Terraform)
- **Working knowledge of secure software development** (OAuth2, SAML, OWASP best practices)
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch, event-driven systems, and microservices
- **Hands-on experience with LLMs, embeddings, RAG pipelines, or AI product integration** highly regarded
- **Excellent communication skills** with ability to unite teams around complex problems
- **Focus on delivering business impact**, not just technical output
