Orchard Assistant

**ORCHARD PERSON**

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in planting, pruning, and maintaining fruit trees according to established procedures
- Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal moisture levels for tree growth
- Conduct regular inspections for pests, diseases, and weed control, and take appropriate action as needed
- Harvest fruit according to maturity standards, ensuring careful handling and storage
- Sort and pack harvested fruit for distribution or sale, following quality control guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the orchard, including clearing debris and maintaining pathways
- Operate and maintain orchard equipment and machinery, ensuring proper functioning and safety protocols
- Assist with general maintenance tasks, such as repairing fences, mending nets, and maintaining equipment sheds
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in orchard or agriculture-related work is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of fruit tree cultivation, pruning techniques, and pest management is advantageous
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed
