Document Controller/qa Specialist

Our client is a well established, large and successful Australian Marine Services operator. They support the Oil & Gas, Resources, Port Services, Construction and Towage Services industries.
They are seeking applicants who have senior experience in Document Contol/QA to join their friendly, dynamic and industry leading team.
This opportunity will suit an individual that has a flexible approach, attention to detail, accuracy and can work both collaboratively and autonomously to meet deadlines.
The Opportunity
This is a full-time position based in Perth's CBD. The duties and responsibilities are varied with no two days the same. You must have a focused approach and the ability to work well in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Managing and maintaining the control of hardcopy and electronic file copies of the Company Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Update documents with amendments as appropriate and dispose of past revisions as directed
- Distribute document amendments to respective custodians as defined by each manual
- Managing all quality records (both on-shore and on vessels) in accordance with the IMS Record Management procedures and filing convention
- Monitor and assist Marine/Vessel Superintendents and Masters with vessel certificate documentation and files
- Set up Company IMS on new vessels as required, ensure all publications (including charts) listed on the “Master Document Register” are current and issued as appropriate
- Managing and maintaining Company Registers including ‘Fleet Management Listing & Filing Convention’ and Document Transmittal Registers
- Maintain Electronic publications library
- Manage and maintain the ‘Master Archive Register’ to reflect tracking of all archived documents
- Processing all quality records and catalogue as per IMS ‘Record Management’ procedures and protocols, retrieving documents as required
- Manage the disposal of archived documents in accordance with statutory and record management procedures
- Assist with tracking and close out of internal and third-party audits
Required Experience
- You will have previous senior experience in a similar role (5 years +)
- Advanced MS Office skills and sound understanding of IT Networks and System Administration
- A sound understanding of the Marine, Oil & Gas industry
