**Your new role**
This position is responsible for partnering with formal leaders to support the performance & development of individual apprentices, as well as the overall effectiveness of the broader Apprentice Program. This person will work through providing professional guidance, advice, coaching and direction to apprentices and formal leaders to manage performance development and resolve complex people issues. Lead the development and implementation of initiatives to support the continuous improvement of the program, while consistently operating in line with HR best practice, relevant polices, frameworks, awards, and corporate governance frameworks.
You'll act as a single HR point of contact for the apprentices, formal leaders, and stakeholders within the program. Lead the determination of the annual apprentice intake numbers through engagement with HR and operations stakeholders ensuring all relevant levels of leadership are consulted. During annual intake, work with formal leaders to ensure supervision requirements are considered and suitable supervisor is identified for electrical apprentices in regional depots. Lead the planning and coordination of the annual apprentice program recruitment process, acting as the key contact to the external recruitment provider and internal HR stakeholders to ensure an effective end to end recruitment and onboarding experience.
You'll be expected to partner and mentor formal leaders to carry out their apprentice management responsibilities, to successfully meet the program’s requirements. You'll work closely with the training team to ensure apprentices are successfully completing their training and on track with requirements to ensure successful completion of required qualifications.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Ideally, you'll be a strong generalist with a broad range of HR knowledge. You'll have excellent organisational skills and strong analytical skills. You'll have extensive influencing capabilities and be able to develop and motivate people. There may be an element of travel with this role so ideally you will hold a full valid WA Drivers license.
