You will execute your works with high standards and attention to detail, motivated to deliver first-class professional technical & electrical services.**Expressions of interest are now open for an Area Manager role - Canberra Area**The role will be responsible for a wide range of operational activities which include;- Execution of all works to the highest standard of safety.
- Working with others in the team to ensure the safe operation of assets at all times.
- Reacting to new & developing events onsite
- Documentation & Reporting as required
- Interface with internal & external stakeholders
- Responsible for all plant personnel, policies, and programs. Examples include employee morale, staffing levels, training efforts, and safety issues.
- Communicates regularly with Management and all site personnel, both individually and as a group, to ensure excellent two-way communication concerning operational and maintenance issues.
- Assist in the hiring of site personnel and conducts employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the site maintenance personnel.
- Ensure adherence with company and department policies and procedures
- Responsible for operating the Plant within the approved budget
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards and applicable governmental regulations
- Manage the plant programs based on best practices in the PV industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Continuously strive to improve the condition and performance of the plant.
- Monitor and manage the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, equipment, tools, and reordering as necessary
- Proven experience in being able to efficiently execute tasks, as defined by a maintenance plan.
- Demonstrate strong organization skills with excellent problem solving and effective communication skills.
- Demonstrable proficiency in software & IT skills
- Be reliable, organized and team focused
- Have the tenacity and a can-do approach
- Demonstrate care with all works and tasks.
- Have a strong desire to exceed expectations
- Experience on Solar Farms; or as Industrial Electrical works desired.
- Willing to travel to other projects, if and when required.

**Education / Qualifications**
- A Valid Electrical Qualification for performing works on the Solar Farm
- A valid Drivers Licence
- Relevant Safety Certifications (White Card)
- Valid First Aid & Low Voltage (LV) Rescue Trained
- High Voltage Switching (HVSO) desired but not essential.
- Experience with Data Communications (SCADA, dataloggers, routers)
