Fitters

Molycop is seeking to recruit Fitters to relocate and join our Newcastle NSW team, on a permanent full-time basis. In this critical role, you will utilize your comprehensive mechanical and/or process knowledge to repair and maintain our plant and equipment, to ensure that Molycop can produce the highest quality and innovative products for our customers.

Opportunity to work overtime is available.

**The positions**

Molycop is looking for experienced Fitters to support the Maintenance across our plant based in Waratah, Newcastle NSW.
- Key responsibilities include:_
- Equipment breakdown diagnosis and fault-finding.
- Preventative maintenance activities to enhance reliability:

- Safely executing breakdown equipment repairs;
- Simple mechanical planning;
- Data capture in CMMS (asset management software); and
- Working closely with other trade disciplines and operators.

There are also opportunities to develop on the job including formal skills training plus experience in project and shutdown planning and execution. All of this and more which is carried out in a well-structured, supportive team environment.

A competitive salary package is offered, depending on experience, plus 10% shift loading for certain rosters, and overtime also available - overall a very attractive remuneration package for these roles.

**About you**:

- Strong mechanical experience and knowledge;
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics;
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces;
- Effective communication skills;
- Experience working in an industrial maintenance environment;
- Certificate III Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification:

- An understanding of reliability/engineering strategies such as condition monitoring and preventative maintenance;
- A friendly, positive can-do attitude; and
- Demonstrated commitment to working safely and leading by example.

You must also have current and valid Australian working rights.
