We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced **Marketing Officer** to join our client, a leading local government authority, on a **Temporary contract.**

**About the Role**:
You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative marketing and communication strategies that will raise the profile of the Council and its services.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Leading the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels.
- Creating high-quality marketing collateral, including print and digital materials.
- Managing and maintaining a network of strategic contacts across diverse organisations.
- Leveraging social media platforms to engage the community and promote the organisation's initiatives.
- Coordinating sponsorship opportunities and exploring sales and advertising avenues.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to achieve marketing goals.

**What you will bring**:

- 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading and implementing successful marketing and communication strategies.
- Previous experience working for local government.
- Proven ability to generate creative and impactful marketing initiatives.
- Experience in developing and maintaining strategic partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong understanding of social media marketing.
- Experience in coordinating sponsorship opportunities and a keen interest in sales and advertising (preferred).
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines efficiently.
