**The role**:

- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Manage the design, planning and implementation of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of technical specialisms and provides expert advice regarding their
- Manage the development, publication, implementation and compliance of all program/project(s) deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
- Lead the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations.
- Lead a team of specialist technical resources in the delivery of complex technical
- Maintain and manage effective working relationships and engage with third parties that provide technical support for the enterprise
- Provide expert-level support and technical leadership across your portfolio

The ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

- Experience in the design, publication, implementation, compliance and delivery of Systems integration to industry best practice frameworks for large scale, complex IM/ICT program/project(s), preferably in the health care industry (SFIA Skill: ITMG: Level 5, HSIN: Level 4)
- Experience designing systems and providing expert knowledge in relevant design standards, techniques, methods and tools for large scale complex organisations (SFIA Skill: DESN: Level 4, METL: 5)
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment, analysis, development, documentation and implementation planning of changes for large complex IM/ICT program/project(s). (SFIA Skill: CHMG: Level 4)
- Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of technical requirements within a complex IM/ICT environment.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing, Collaborative working)
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary project (NHS: Leading change through people)
- Experience in Windows server administration is highly desirable
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Load balancing tools such as HA Proxy, Power shell scripting, and high availability solutions such as DRDB is highly desirable
- Experience in the installation and maintenance of Dev Ops tools including Atlassian, ELK Stake is highly desirable
- Experience with large-scale server administration tools for Configuration management, Clustering DRDB and managing Vendor VM Cloud infrastructure is highly desirable
- Experience with:

- Database administration technologies such as PostgreSQL is highly desirable
- At least one Operating Systems - Linux, Windows, Solaris, AIX, BSD, Netware
- At least one Scripting &/or Programming Language - VBS, Perl, C, C++, Prologue, Shell (Unix & Windows), Python
