**About the Mental Health division**

The Mental Health division is committed to promoting the highest levels of mental health care for our patients. In realising this goal, the division leads and excels in research, teaching and the use of person-centred evidence-based practice. The division provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health, from the Emergency Department through to bed-based services and ongoing ambulatory care.

**About the role**

As the Mental Health Clinician, you will provide clinical support in the expert clinical assessment and treatment to children and young people with eating disorders (aged 0 to 18 years) and their families who are referred to Austin Health’s Infant Child and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS).

A regular day will see you:

- Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues within the Specialist Eating Disorder Service (SEDS) community teams and bed-based services within the service.
- Provide clinical eating disorder assessment, and treatment planning recommendations supporting families involved in clinic-based and outreach treatment.
- Support consumers to access mental health services and other relevant community resources to assist in their ongoing treatment and recovery.
- Contribute to the new program design and implementation.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will bring with you:

- Relevant qualification and current AHPRA registration.
- Clinical experience for the profession, according to the relevant Enterprise Agreement, specifically in mental health or family therapy.
- A deep understanding of recovery-focused care in eating disorders and an ability to work from a strengths-based approach.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and supervision as part of your role.
- Highly effective communication skills and the ability to engage with staff capacity building their skills and knowledge in eating disorders.
- A commitment to ensuring safe, best-practice care that puts consumers at the heart of the decision-making process.
