**About The Role**:
Are you passionate about making a difference in early childhood health? The State-wide Infant Screening - Hearing (SWISH) Program plays a critical role in identifying hearing concerns in newborns, helping families access the support they need as early as possible.

We are seeking a dedicated Newborn Hearing Screening Technician to join our team in the Southern Hunter New England Local Health**District**(HNELHD). This vital role involves conducting hearing screenings for newborn babies—helping detect potential hearing issues before they leave hospital or within their first month of life.

As a Newborn Hearing Screening Technician, you will:

- Perform hearing screenings using Automated Auditory Brainstem Response (AABR**)** technology
- Work across hospital maternity wards, special care nurseries, and community clinic settings
- Provide clear information, reassurance, and support to families during screening
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols consistently
- Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment

This is a hands-on, rewarding role where your work supports early detection and intervention—giving infants the best chance at developing strong communication and language skills.
