Reporting to Workshop Team Leader, we are looking to recruit a qualification Locksmith as a Service Technician a in our fast-paced National Keying Centre located in South Melbourne. We require qualified Locksmiths with at least 2 years of experience. We are offering a salary of $55,000 + super for this full-time position.

In this role you will provide prompt and effective assembly of locks, keys and cylinders within the API Keying Workshops.
- Perform workshop duties
- Process internal work orders/coding (experience with Promaster software advantageous)
- Ensure that all work performed is supported by the necessary documentation
- Keep work area clean and presentable
- Daily cleaning of all machinery, work area and workshop
- Cutting keys, assembling locks, picking and packing stock
- Ensuring all work is performed safely and a high level of safety awareness and ownership is maintained by ensuring all work is evaluated and tendered to meet the requirements of WHS requirements, rules and procedures
- Ensure all required records are maintained

Travel to external worksites will also be required for the following
- Instillation, service and repair of various types of lock and security devices
- Instillation and repair of door hardware and hydraulic closing fixtures
- Disassembly of locks - repair and replacement of worn tumblers, springs and other parts
- Issue of keys, and recording of keys issued and returned
- Troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of both mechanical and electronic key card systems.
