**Where you'll be working**

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed base of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

Wollongong is located an hour’s drive south of Sydney on a narrow coastal strip bordered by the Royal National Park to the north, Lake Illawarra to the south, the Tasman Sea to the east and the Illawarra Escarpment to the west. **What you'll be doing**
- Provide high quality clinical care to adult and paediatric plastic surgery patients under the supervision of specialist staff. Wollongong Hospital is a busy teaching hospital and the Plastic Surgery Unaccredited Trainee will, under supervision, undertake and assist emergency and non-emergency procedures including skin cancer surgery, microsurgery, maxillo-facial and the repair of soft tissue trauma.

Selection Criteria:

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Minimum three years post graduate experience with previous experience in plastic Surgery
- Sufficient skills, knowledge and experience to practice as a safe and competent plastic surgery trainee
- Teamwork and leadership skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in Teaching both Undergraduate & Postgraduate Students
- Moderate Computer Skills
