**The Role**
Australia is embarking on an unprecedented ship building program. It requires the integration of sophisticated systems from across Australia and our global partners to create highly effective naval combat systems for Defence, and continuous research and integration to keep those combat systems at the cutting edge. DSTG’s growing team of Combat Systems Engineers and Scientists will play a critical role in the success of this program, transforming the way new capabilities are transitioned from scientific concepts into Defence capability. In this role, you will join a small team of computational and data scientists who assess undersea combat system capability.

In particular, your responsibilities will include:

- Designing and analysing statistical experiments using a human-in-the-loop combat system simulator.
- Designing and analysing trials using the actual combat system.
- Analysing operational data generated by the actual combat system.

**About our Team**

We are seeking a talented engineer or scientist with a background in computational science, or data science.

You will have qualifications or demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Design of Experiments,
- Machine Learning, or
- Modelling, simulation and analysis in general.
