Male Disability Support Worker

**Job Overview**:
As a Male Disability Support Worker, you will provide compassionate and person-centred care to individuals with disabilities, including those with behavioural or mental health needs. Your role will involve supporting clients in their homes and within the community to promote independence, dignity, and inclusion.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation 1.
- Support clients in accessing community services, recreational activities, and appointments 2.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and work with clients who may have complex needs 1.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and empowering environment.
- Collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and other support staff.
**Preferred Qualifications & Skills**:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or equivalent.
- Experience in behaviour management or mental health support (highly regarded) 1.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Blue Card.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Subcontract, Casual
Pay: $36.00 - $53.44 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 36 per week
