**The Role**
Embedded within the digital arm of the Science Communication team, you will work closely with the corporate communication and production teams to manage and implement content strategically across our digital channels, in the effort to boost customer engagement and assist with the ongoing growth and public awareness of DSTG.

Functions include, but are not limited to:

- Contribute to the ongoing management and implementation of actionable activities within our digital communications strategy;
- Contribute to content planning through weekly meetings with key stakeholders to capture and schedule content in our Asana board, as well as identify gaps, synergies and opportunities to maximise reach and return on investment;
- Support our social media channels (LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter);
- Manage our digital channels by ensuring content is regularly updated and synchronised where applicable;
- Build campaigns to drive customer loyalty and online engagement;
- Brainstorm strategies to encourage out-of-the-box thinking to break into new and untouched markets;
- Liaise with heads of staff to improve marketing operations and allow for smooth communication and processes;
- Manage Google Analytics and HotJar suites to ensure we’re always capturing and learning from the behaviours of our users to ensure we provide valuable and impactful content.

**About our Team**
The Digital team sits is part of the Defence Science Communication (DSC) team which sits within Science Strategic Planning and Engagement Division.

The Science Strategic Planning and Engagement Division is responsible for strategically positioning DSTG to deliver maximum impact for Defence. The division co-ordinates and develops DSTGs external engagements and leads the development of science policy, the formulation of strategic research programs, and the investment of resources into Defence’s science and technology capabilities.

As a multidisciplinary team of trusted communication experts, DSC partners with internal and external stakeholders to produce diverse, dynamic and engaging communications that enables collaboration, shapes attitudes, builds relationships and promotes trust in Defence.

The Digital team works closely with other parts of the Defence Science Communication team to ensure DSTG has a strong online presence through our internal and external channels, including social media.

You will have:

- Experience working in a digital content environment;
- Strong communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to adapt to a diverse group of stakeholders and personality types;
- Ability to work collaboratively;
- Hands-on experience developing marketing campaigns & strategy;
- Excellent communication and time management skills;
- Experience with a vast array of Social Platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.); and
- A passion for and understanding of quality digital design.
