**The Role**
Some of the key duties of this role are:
- Under limited policy control and direction from the Navy Aviation System Program Office (NASPO) Chief Engineer and Deputy Chief Engineer, carryout local system administrator duties for the NASPO Engineering Management Environment for the RAAF Automated Logistics Development (EMERALD) data base. This would include providing mandatory EMERALD system reports, facilitating user access, managing/monitoring system performance, conducting systems trouble shooting and providing mentoring and training to NASPO EMERALD system users.
- Working within the NASPO Technical/Engineering Services and Support Unit (TESSU) and under limited direction from the NASPO Deputy Chief Engineer, provide management and oversight of the NASPO Computer Aided Maintenance Management (CAMM2) and Maintenance Requirement Determination (MRD) sections.
- Represent NASPO at Defence/ Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) EMERALD and CAMM2 user group forums.
**About our Team**
Navy Aviation System Program Office (NASPO) within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group is responsible for supporting current Navy Aviation capabilities while developing and supporting new technologies into the future.
Technical/Engineering Services and Support (TESSU) is a specialised aviation engineering team embedded within NASPO who are responsible for providing core-engineering design and engineering support services for NASPO managed Aviation platforms. TESSU comes under direct management of the NASPO Chief Engineer and provides the central engineering resources for NASPO to provide Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) authorised Rotary Wing Design Organisation services (Part 21J) to the Navy Fleet Air Arm.
We are looking for a high performing, experienced systems administrator who, demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning and professional development to be a part of a team dedicated to continuously collaborate with the NASPO IPT teams, other CASG System Program Offices and industry to meet capability needs.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have system administrator experience in reasonably complex data base systems preferably related to aviation/engineering/technical systems management;
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading specialised technical system/data management teams;
- Have strong conceptual, analytical and data visualisation skills;
- Demonstrated experience in working in organisations providing moderately complex engineering or technical services;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of Defence and industry;
- Have effective communication skills in technical packages, reports, written correspondence, discussions and presentations.
