**Summary**

This law firm is a long established and well-regarded firm based in the busy inner Melbourne suburb of Armadale. They are seeking a new member of staff to join their professional and friendly team on a part-time basis. The People & Culture Advisor is required for 22.5 hours per week (spread over 4-5 shorter days preferred) although they are flexible as to the agreement in this regard) to assist with the firm's human resource activities.

**The role**

The successful applicant will be required to:

- Meet with the director responsible for Human Resources ("HR Manager") to develop, implement and drive the human resources plan in the context of the firm's strategic goals and the firm's HR budget, and provide general HR related administration assistance, be accountable for and carry out the responsibilities as decided.
- Oversee and undertake recruitment and selection processes, in consultation with HR Manager.
- Manage and actively participate in staff performance reviews, and develop and implement staff retention strategies including appropriate incentives.
- Review HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance with awards and other workplace law.
- Manage and improve staff induction and separation programs.
- Identify and implement relevant learning and development initiatives with their staff.
- Monitor individual and Division performance and workload (in consultation with Director Responsible for Division) including performance as against KPIs (such as financial budgets) and job descriptions, and take action to address learning and development needs and performance issues.
- Act as a point of reference for HR queries from staff across the firm and including managing the Support Staff.
- Be responsible for arranging staff team building and social events.
- Manage key HR projects

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation, communication, organisational, management and interpersonal skills
- Staff management experience
- Degree in Human Resources or related area
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia
- 5 years experience in the same or similar role
