**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Youth Services professional to join our Youth Services Team.

As the new Youth Services Program Lead you will make a difference daily by providing leadership and direction for the delivery of services to young people, parents and caregivers and service providers. The role will coordinate the development and timely implementation of programs and services that engage and support young people, as well as having a key role in planning, policy and procedure development, evaluation and reporting to enhance service delivery. Creating space and opportunity for youth voice and youth participation across the municipality is also a core focus of the role.

You will report directly to the Youth Services Coordinator and work collaboratively with the team, across Council and with the community.

This is a full-time permanent role based at Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.

This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $95,488.69 to $104,288.00 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

**What you will need to thrive**

The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Experience and tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Community Work, Public Health, Social Sciences or related field.
- Experience in implementing youth engagement, participation and consultation processes to inform program development.
- A results focused approach and proven ability to steer, manage and implement change in a complex and political environment.
- Knowledge, skills and experience in evaluation and monitoring.
- Exceptional communication skills in dealing with and motivating a wide range of people including colleagues and young people.
- Knowledge, skills and experience in leading and supervising staff and volunteers.
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team.
