**Create your best future and join Westpac as a Fraud Data Analyst** - Permanent Full-time opportunity - Sydney based - Hybrid working model **What’s the role?** The Fraud Analyst’s role is to analyse information related to fraud and implement detection strategies which mitigate risk and prevent financial loss, whilst ensuring there is mínimal impacts to customer experience, product profitability and brand reputation. You will play a key role in identifying high-risk accounts, refining our detection rules, and delivering insights that support smarter prevention strategies. This role will also help maintain internal reporting tools that make analysis more effective and efficient. **What do I need?** - Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, and Actuarial Science etc - Technical skills in some of SQL, SAS, R or similar languages are essential with proven experience in using these to interrogate and manipulate large data sets - Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with and influence non-technical stakeholders - High attention to detail and focus - Experience in working in a Fraud or Risk Analytics environment within financial services would be highly advantageous **Why join us?** We’re obsessed with becoming our customers #1 banking partner for life and we’re looking for people who are passionate about helping us achieve that goal.
