**About the opportunity**

**Locations: Penrith NSW Areas**

**Shifts: 20-25 hours per week**

**Job requires assisting in daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, meal prep, shopping, attending appointments, companionship, recreational activities, personal care**

Caura Pty Ltd has an exciting opportunity for Disability Support Workers to join our community support team working across Sydney & South East Sydney. Caura Pty Ltd offers a range of services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). you will be providing support to participants both adults and young people with a disability.

**The positions offered**:
ABN Contracted role offering a minimum of 20-25 hours per week.

**Key Responsibilities**:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

- Support clients to identify and achieve their goals; such as cooking, shopping, budgeting
- Support clients with personal care, and hygiene such a showing, dressing, eating, toileting
- Engaging clients in community access
- Collaborate with team members
- Build effective relationships with clients and their families and carers
- Implement routines and structures through positive role modelling

**Requirements**:

- Hold a current P2 license or an open license
- Current Police Check
- Working with children check
- Have a fully insured vehicle (comprehensive)
- NDIS Worker Module
- Manuel Handling
- Current First Aid Certificate

**Skills & Experience**:
To be considered for this role you will have:

- Certificate III or IV in Disability, or equivalent accreditation in social science/community services
- Experience in mental health care
- Literacy and writing skills
- Reliability
- Punctual
- Be able to make phone calls and assist with paperwork and making appointments
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centered care
- Demonstrated experience following behaviours and behaviour support plans
- Must have experience supporting participants with Autism and ADHD
- Must be Self driven
- Proactive and able to identify what needs to be done without direction.
- Ideally understand what Executive functional challenges means.
- Fun, Vibrant, and Outgoing Personalities
- Can start ASAP

Pay: $41.00 - $44.00 per hour
