**The Role**
The Regional Safety Coordinator - AU will be responsible for maintaining a safety culture, and administering safety frameworks and systems to ensure compliance with Australian Safety Legislation and health and wellbeing practices.
A key member of the Safety team you will report to, and partner with, the Regional Health and Safety Manager - ANZ to support day-to-day safety operations across the region via a mix of regular site visits and work from the Ballarat Head Office. You will also partner with the human resources team as a point of contact for staff safety and wellbeing matters. Your excellent organizational skills, analytical approach to problems, personal drive, genuine care for others, and ability to work with a wide variety of people will set you up for success in this dynamic and exciting opportunity.
**Duties**
- Conduct regional site visits across VIC and SA on a regular basis
- Administer safety systems and analyze safety reporting data
- Implementation and maintenance of health and safety management system and online information systems
- Complete regular verbal and written reporting, document writing, and develop policy and educational content to suit a varied audience
- Develop and deliver safety-related general advice, training, and development programs
- Complete regular safety reporting and coordinate Safety Committee meetings
- Drive safety culture across the business and contribute to a respectful, safe and accountable workplace consistent with the organization’s values, policies and culture
- Please note, given the requirements of this role, work from home is currently unavailable, though hybrid options may potentially be considered in future
**Skills & Experience**
- Formal qualification in Workplace Health & Safety
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Australian Occupational Health & Safety legislation and the proven ability to deliver appropriate interpretations
- Experience in a similar safety role
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to influence positive change
- Current drivers license to be maintained at all times
- Return to Work certificate and or experience would be advantageous
