Due to significant growth, an exciting newly-created opportunity has become available for a Broker to join Guy Carpenter in Sydney.

Working within the facultative team, you will be responsible for the growth, profitability and client satisfaction of a book of business containing a range of clients. This includes managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor and pursuing new business development. You will collaborate with colleagues in the Asia Pacific region, working with and learning from industry leading experts in the field.

**We will count on you to**:

- Develop relationships with new and existing clients
- Execute client proposals, presentations, market submissions
- Support business development and revenue production in facultative business for Australia, with focus in casualty/financial lines
- Utilise risk expertise and knowledge of industry and insurance market to review clients’ exposures and develop solutions for client needs
- Work with treaty, technical support and placement teams to ensure a quality process
- Ensure that all business operations and documentation are conducted in a compliant, courteous and professional manner
- Maintain comprehensive correspondence and contractual documentation files
- Liaise with GC global network in obtaining expertise and support
- Provide technical training to clients and colleagues
- Remain up to date with latest market trends

**What you need to have**:

- 2+ years’ experience within insurance broking, underwriting or claims. Experience in reinsurance will be highly regarded
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels, must be a good team player
- Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
