**Who we are looking for**:
An IT Manager who will work closely with the Technology management team based in the UK, to build a multi-skilled technical team Sydney.

As an IT Manager, you will manage the work schedule and allocation process in conjunction with the wider Technology teams. This will consist of operational maintenance activities alongside project tasks that have defined delivery timescales.

Your team will be an operational extension to our existing technical teams, collectively supporting our key platforms as part of a global 24/7 shift pattern. You will also be accountable for the delivery of aspects of local infrastructure under the guidance of centralised design and tooling functions.

This is an opportunity to recruit and build a cross-functional team from the ground up; combining the autonomy of local, time zoned, support and delivery with the ability to work collaboratively with global technical domains. This will involve balancing ongoing support tasks alongside an interrupt-driven response to service affecting issues.

- Understanding of user needs in detail and finding quality, effective solutions.- Professional, positive and flexible attitude with a desire to make a great contribution to the business.- Self-motivated and ability to use initiative and prioritise proactively.- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.- Understanding networking and cloud computing with an oversight of configuration, deployment and administration requirements.- Experience with Microsoft 365, ITIL framework and related services.**Main Responsibilities**:

- Building and providing management to the IT capability in our Sydney and Darwin offices.- Recruiting and managing team members in line with expectations and requirements of the wider Technology function.- Developing the teams and their skills as appropriate. Ensuring that documentation, training, mentoring and coaching is in place for the team.- Working closely with centralised Technical Domains (primarily in the UK) to devise, implement and continuously improve processes that work seamlessly with the Technology function as a whole.- Implementing, maintaining controls and monitoring procedures to ensure availability of critical systems and mínimal service interruptions.- Participating in the Incident Management process as an escalation point to integrate efforts across multiple technology teams and providers.- Proactively identifying, investigating and resolving technical incidents and problems. Identifying emerging risks and taking or recommending appropriate actions to mitigate those risks.- Distributing relevant work packages across the teams, ensuring completion of these to the agreed timescales.- Producing metrics and reports that provide insight into the Technology platform performance.- Managing local vendors to ensure the delivery of a high quality service to the Sydney and Darwin offices.**Want to become part of the team?**:
