In the years ahead, commercial agriculture is destined to play a significant role in sequestering carbon from the soil. RLF AgTech’s technologies will support this trend, using its Integrated Crop Nutrition and Carbon Management Systems to help capture and store CO2 from the air by increasing the organic matter in the world’s soils. This exciting part of our business, RLF Carbon, is looking to grow significantly, and the company is primed to commence trials with our proven technology to potentially change the nature of global agriculture and strive towards net zero.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Carbon will encompass technical knowledge within the carbon industry, such as the generation of ACCU’s and be a key component in creating and maintaining vital relationships with offtake partners such as growers, industry groups, banks, large private corporates, and fund managers. This role will be responsible for managing carbon soil projects nationwide, maximising the commercial value of carbon projects for the future generation of RLF AgTech revenues, and building and developing a team to grow the RLF Carbon business.

As a highly-driven operator, fully aligned with RLF AgTech's vision and ability to execute an ambitious program, you will coordinate potential opportunities in Australia and from around the world while ideally based in Perth.
- The key responsibilities include:_

Build and manage key stakeholder relationships with banks, growers, government bodies (Clean Energy Regulator), industry groups, private corporations, and offtake partners

Oversee carbon projects, including the development and implementation of programs in the agriculture sector

Lead and manage the business development of RLF Carbon by generating ACCU offtake agreements and engaging with investment funds

Support market development and facilitate client growth by attending networking events and professional social media channels in conjunction with Marketing Team

Lead project management process and client project teams and assist the team to manage sustainable energy strategies

Build and maintain a strong network with organisations, agencies, and consulting services

Appoint and manage the carbon team and liaise with others in the RLF AgTech business

Provide carbon and climate advice to business leaders to develop a sustainable value proposition

Ability to understand and operate in the carbon, and renewable sectors, mainly in renewable energy (i.e. solar panels)

Define investment portfolio strategy, business plan, and offtake options for renewable projects on a larger scale

Develop commercialisation pathway of the carbon business, and review and analyse services and products provided to clients and costs

Develop a Marketing Plan in collaboration with the Marketing Team to communicate and market the benefits and opportunities of RLF Carbon to growers, the media, politicians, off-takers, the capital markets and other stakeholders

Help the organisation to measure better, understand and manage the scope of the business

Oversee project registration and compliance reporting with CER or other relevant regulatory bodies

Develop, manage, and report against budgets

**Ideal Skills**
- **Have**:_

3+ years of experience with Australian carbon rules and regulations

Sound knowledge and onsite/or offsite experience within the agriculture industry and renewable energy market

A demonstrated background & high level of knowledge and experience in the carbon industry (highly desirable but not essential)

Environmental science or sustainability-related tertiary qualification (desirable)

A high level of knowledge, expertise, and experience in dealing with systems

High level of attention to detail, time management and accuracy

Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, negotiation, excellent research & problem-solving skills

Extensive leadership experience

Experience in the commercialisation of carbon projects _(not essential to have carbon soil project knowledge)_

Industry and regulatory connections within the carbon industry _(desirable but not essential)_
