**About the Business**

Our Disability and Specialised Services Division provides valuable support to the South Australian community through direct service delivery, inclusion policy and sector reform work. As a registered NDIS provider, they supervise and help with everyday tasks to support people living with disability to live as independently as possible. The Division also encompasses quality and clinical services and the DHS Equipment Program.

**Role Details**

The Specialist Support Coordinator is a role within Disability Services and is accountable to the Manager, Coordination and Assessment Team for:

- providing responsive and individualised specialist support coordination and transition planning from hospital for NDIS participants within Disability Services
- working collaboratively with participants, families and carers to improve supports through the NDIS in a way that is respectful of peoples’ human rights, puts the participant at the centre of planning, and aims to improve quality of life for participants with disabilities
- providing a point of contact for the participant for the NDIA and all services and supports to ensure the full implementation of the participants NDIS plan
- supporting participants of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), in accordance with the goals outlined in their NDIS Plans, providing a service that’s aligns with the NDIS practice standards and quality indicators provided by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

- Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
- Must hold a current Australian issued driver’s licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
- Role Status: Term up to 01/09/2026, part-time hours will be considered and there is potential for an ongoing position in the future.

The incumbent must have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in Disability & Developmental Education, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Speech Pathology which entitles registration or full membership with the relevant allied health profession’s board. Occupational Therapists and Psychologists must have full registration with the relevant profession’s board and maintain registration.

**Essential Qualifications**

The incumbent must have an appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in Disability & Developmental Education, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or Speech Pathology which entitles registration or full membership with the relevant allied health profession’s board. Occupational Therapists and Psychologists must have full registration with the relevant profession’s board and maintain registration.

**Role Status**:Term up to 01/09/2026, part-time hours to be considered and potential for ongoing in the future.

**Salary Range**:$88,255-$102,240 (AHP2)
