**CNC Operator / Machinist**

Amtek is an Australian owned and operated company, we specialise in building customised, engineered vehicle solutions for a range of government and private clients including NSW Ambulance, SES, Medical and Disability services and many more.

We are looking for preferably an experienced CNC Operator/machinist to work in our busy production workshop located in Moorebank.

You will work in a clean modern facility and amongst a great team.

**About the role**:

- Operate CNC Router to manufacture metal, timber and other various components
- Operate Laser Cutter to manufacture metal components
- Programme CNC Router and Laser cutter machines according to designs received from Engineering Team
- Ensure accuracy for precise fabrication of materials
- Meeting daily production schedules
- Adjustments and maintenance of machinery
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
- Working within your team to ensure productivity is at the highest level

**Our expectations**

**Skills needed**
- Experience operating and understanding CNC and Laser cutting Machinery preferrable
- Forklift licence desirable
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Attention to detail, ensuring products are cut accurately to design
- Physical ability to move and lift bulky materials
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting production targets.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own and within a team

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Automotive electrical systems: 2 years (preferred)
- Automotive Accessory Fitting: 2 years (preferred)
