**Job summary**
Our established and growing Perth Civil team is looking for a Project Technical Lead, Civil Engineering. Stantec have a strong pipeline of work in the Land Development (subdivision) and Building sectors and are looking for passionate members to join our team.
**About the role**
Stantec Community Development Perth team are involved in exciting projects within a variety of industries and sectors including land development, civil infrastructure, transport, mining, water and buildings. We are looking for an experienced civil engineering technical leader to join our established and growing team. Our team work on civil engineering only projects as well as a variety of multi-disciplinary projects.
This role includes project design and delivery across a range of projects and sectors. Projects range from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation. The role will require independent project delivery, client liaison and ability to win work.
The role will suit will someone who has good technical design background, strong consulting engineering and project delivery skills over a range of areas including earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water network design, including clear knowledge of standards and processes. The role will also suit someone with work winning ability and ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
**Day to day tasks would involve**:
- Delivery personnel for quality engineering and technical activities to achieve successful projects
- Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants.
- Ideally have experience dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including the private sector, local authorities and State government bodies
- Self-management skills will be as important as your technical design and project management abilities
- Prioritise workloads ensuring our Clients' needs are met whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with your colleague's both within the group and across the wider Stantec team.
- Build and develop your professional profile both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects.
- Maintain an appropriate level of service to Clients and internal Project Managers.
- Assist with project management and business development.
- Support Project Leaders Managers in completing projects in terms of program, profitability, technical risk management and overall Client satisfaction.
- Be accurate, diligent and professional.
- Assist with guiding and implementing the strategic direction of the team.
- Positively contribute to the culture of the organisation.
- Mentor and develop other team members as required.
**To be successful for this role you'll need**:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience in the civil related design and delivery of land development and building projects
- Experience in CAD based design platforms is preferred
- Ability to use initiative and think outside the box
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Positive, can-do attitude
