Sydney, Australia NSW Government -Teaching Service Full time

**Position Information**:
Our recently renovated learning spaces are supported with state-of-the-art technology including banks of Chromebooks and wall panels. The CAPA Faculty has significant resources across all delivery areas and the school hall is about to be renovated to lift it to a contemporary performance space. We are moving to the 3x3 (compressed curriculum) method of HSC delivery in term 4 of this year.

**Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, a demonstrated ability to:

- Create a culture of high expectations to develop, lead and manage innovative initiatives to enrich, engage and support all students including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, EAL/D, high performing and those with additional learning needs.
- Lead a diverse faculty in collaboratively implementing the CAPA syllabuses and VET frameworks as well as equitably managing and maintaining resources and the financial budget whilst meeting compliance and adhering to health and safety guidelines in classrooms and performance spaces.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the executive team to lead, manage and implement whole school processes and initiatives that support the school’s strategic directions for improved student learning outcomes.
- Use excellent personal and interpersonal skills demonstrating a capacity to build and strengthen authentic relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
- Build on an established performing arts program which includes strong industry partnerships with high level project management and budgeting skills to ensure successful design and delivery of visual arts, music and performance events that showcase student achievement.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs

3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams

4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents

5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning

6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
