As part of the Freightways Ltd group of companies, SHRED-X is a fast paced and rapidly growing company providing complete Documentation, Electronic Products and Specialist Fabric Destruction and Recycling Solutions for all types of businesses.
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who is eager to learn, grow and develop a career within Safety at Shred-X. Reporting to the WHS Manager, through the WHS Co-Ordinator, the Work Health & Safety Administrator plays a crucial role in documenting, co-ordinating and maintaining our health and safety programs across all our branches and depots.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Function as the single point of contact for all administrative elements of the WHS team.
- Consult with stakeholders on system improvements to WHS data capture, processing, reporting and trending.
- Assist with workers compensation and return to work administrative requirements.
- Maintain the agenda and minutes for Safety team meetings.
- Complete quality checks on incident data with respect to accuracy and timeliness.
- Run regular reports on the status of action items assigned from investigations and leading activities.
- Complete assurance checks on data filing, record keeping and archiving requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of end of month WHS reports.
- Participate in site WHS walks and assist with coordinating site walks with relevant stakeholders.
- Work with other service provider stakeholders (such as Human Resources, Learning & Development, and subcontractors) to improve systems interfacing with WHS.
- Support Verification of Competency (VOC) activities and complete periodic checks on the efficiency and accuracy of the system.
- Assist in procurement of safety equipment.
- Liaison with injured workers, Workers Compensation Insurers, rehabilitation providers, medical service providers and our payroll team
- Prepare RRTW plans and suitable duties plans with injured workers undertaking rehabilitation.
- Educate workers and Managers regarding their roles and responsibilities to the rehabilitation of injured workers.
- Promote workplace rehabilitation program internally to maintain employee commitments to an early Return to Work
**To be successful in this key role**:
- Previous experience in a high-volume administration role with great attention to detail
- A good attitude and balance to a busy environment
- Someone who can communicate with confidence and knows how to manage conflicting priorities.
- A time management master when it comes to competing priorities.
- Looking to pursue further studies to attain a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
- A willingness to learn and develop, both personally and professionally
- Current drivers’ licence
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
