Our client is a global player in the food and distribution sector, and boasts an impressive presence along the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Continued growth has now necessitated the requirement for a highly experienced Transport Operations Manager to manage the transport of goods efficiently and safely. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards and optimizing routes and processes to minimize costs and improve efficiency. A National role, this opportunity will see you manage a team of specialists and as such, it is important that you have experience in mentoring and managing people.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Developing and implementing transportation policies, procedures, and strategies
- Managing the overall budget and ensuring cost efficiency
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing transportation.
- Monitoring and analyzing transportation data to identify areas for improvement
- Managing a team of transportation professional including allocators and supervisors
- Oversee the allocations across containerized and refrigerated divisions
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
- Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Identify growth areas to improve efficiencies and financial profitability

To be successful you will have solid experience 5+ years in a senior role within the transport sector ideally with exposure across FMCG / Food manufacturing. You will need to be highly motivated with the drive and passion to success with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

An ability to effectively manage exposure to a large national network of operations is all essential. Strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret data, are also important qualities for success in this role.
