**Salary range $113,448 - $131,517 plus super.**

**Who are you?**

As a curious and engaged person, you have strengths in market modelling and/or market analysis. Your experience will also include:

- An understanding of the Australian National Electricity Market
- Strong analytical skills including experience with market modelling software such as PLEXOS
- A growth and continuous learning mindset with the ability to adapt and improve in a rapidly evolving industry
- Abilities to engage strategically with key stakeholders and build strong relationships

**About the role**:
To put it simply, you will be working with an expert team with a focus on supporting the Commercial team maximise revenue opportunities. As an Energy Market Analyst at Hydro Tasmania, you will provide technical and analytical support regarding modelling capability, undertake quantitative and qualitative market analysis and build and maintain energy market and generation models to produce NEM price forecasts.

As an Energy Market Analyst at Hydro Tasmania, you will
- Providing technical and analytical support in the construction and maintenance of Hydro Tasmania’s market modelling capability to produce NEM price forecasts
- Undertake quantitative and qualitative market analysis and provide advice to management and relevant teams considering future operational strategies
- Design and lead implementation of user-friendly data interfaces and reporting dashboards to support model analysis, trading and inform decision-making
- Cross-support team members to produce technical solutions to address a broad range of computational, algorithmic and visualisation problems as they arise
