About The Role

Our Smithfield site in Western Sydney manufactures a range of more than 60 fruit juice, fruit drink, and water ice products and forms part of the juice portfolio - operating five days a week, 24 hours a day. The site currently manufactures approximately 110 million litres of finished goods every year including The Juice Brothers, Daily Juice, Mildura, and Zooper Dooper.

The Automation Electrician will provide electrical and automation support for site operational breakdown, maintenance, and improvement requirements. Seek innovative solutions and perform tests on equipment by the standards and procedures of quality, safety, and environment to ensure the elimination of defects.

We are looking for a highly skilled person to join the team who has worked in a manufacturing/FMCG environment before.

This is a day shift role working 6am to 2pm Monday to Friday, however applicants must be open to working outside these hours and on Saturdays to provide coverage to site as needed.

Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and systems for emergency repairs and carry out preventive maintenance inspections- Improve workforce productivity by eliminating potential delays by technical support and fault finding of mechanical issues.- Partner with the Automation Technician on shift to provide solutions to production issues.- Active participation in Continuous Improvement and ad-hoc projects- Develop and implement safe systems of work without supervision and provides technical guidance when required

About you- Full licensed electrician with similar experience in a manufacturing environment- Strong safety mindset with safety principles top of mind everyday- Automation skills/experience is desired- PLC fault finding & SCADA knowledge is highly regarded- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and P&ID’s
