**The Role**
As a Personal Care Worker at MiCare, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our residents to live with dignity, purpose, and comfort within our residential care community. This diverse role combines personal care, hospitality, and lifestyle support, ensuring every Residents receives high-quality, person-centred care aligned with their individual needs and preferences. You’ll help create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where Residents feel valued and connected.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide daily personal care and support based on each Residents care plan.
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and support during mealtimes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable household environment.
- Administer medications safely and accurately following MiCare procedures.
- Support Residents to engage in lifestyle and household activities that promote independence and a sense of purpose.
- Communicate effectively with Residents, families, and healthcare staff regarding wellbeing and care needs.
- Contribute to documentation, continuous improvement, and team collaboration.
**What We’re Looking For**
- Previous experience in aged care or a genuine interest in supporting older adults.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and person-centred environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to follow direction and use initiative.
- Current National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
