**Head of Web Development - Lead, Build, Innovate**

Sonar Group is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Developer and strategic technical leader to take ownership of its web development practice. This is an opportunity to lead, innovate, and expand the agency’s technical capabilities while managing a team and delivering cutting-edge solutions for clients.

**About the Role**

This individual will oversee a team of three developers, guiding them in best practices, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact digital solutions. They will also be crucial in client engagements. They will work closely with senior stakeholders to define technical strategies that drive business outcomes.

The Head of Web Development will also support Sonar’s new business efforts, leading technical scoping, solution architecture, and strategic consultation for potential clients.

**Responsibilities**
- **Technical Leadership** - Own and shape Sonar’s development capability, introducing modern technologies and setting the direction for future growth.
- **Team Management** - Lead and mentor a team of three developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- **Client Engagement** - Act as a trusted technical advisor, working with senior stakeholders to define and implement strategic solutions.
- **Business Growth Support** - Lead the technical scoping and solution design for new business opportunities.
- **Best Practices & Innovation** - Ensure all development follows the latest **coding standards, security measures, and performance optimization techniques.**

**Requirements**:

- Full-stack web development experienced gained in a consultancy or agency environment, with expertise in PHP frameworks (WordPress, Laravel, Craft, etc.).
- Strong front-end development skills using Vue, React, and Node.js, with experience in headless CMS implementations.
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure and DevOps (AWS, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure management).
- Proven experience integrating third-party systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Google APIs, and eCommerce platforms.
- A track record of leading and mentoring technical teams, ensuring individual and collective growth.
- Translating business objectives into technical solutions and communicating effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
