**About the role**:
Are you passionate about safety and sustainability? As an HSSE Advisor at Kent, you'll play a key role in driving our Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) efforts. Reporting to the HSSE Manager, you’ll take ownership of implementing our HSSE management program during **night shifts**, ensuring all safety and environmental goals are met with mínimal supervision.
This role requires an experienced professional with strong experience in HSSE who can confidently manage responsibilities independently, make critical decisions and maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the implementation of the HSSE plan and keep the team informed and engaged.
- Make sure all HSSE policies and legal requirements are visible and up to date.
- Provide expert advice during HSSE meetings on risk management and hazard reporting.
- Oversee on-site safety practices, from permit-to-work systems to waste management.
- Ensure emergency response plans are in place and participate in regular drills.
- Conduct safety inspections, report findings, and address any issues promptly.
- Verify employees have the necessary certifications and training.
- Respond swiftly to incidents and assist in investigations to improve practices.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and chemical safety protocols.
- Lead toolbox talks and monitor subcontractor compliance with HSSE regulations.
- Step in to stop unsafe work when necessary, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Continuously seek ways to improve HSSE practices and grow your professional skills.
